NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Who are the Kansas City Chiefs taking?
By Matt Conner
Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
In the Pro Football Focus mock draft linked above, the Chiefs are going with wideout once again (surprise!) but the name bandied about this time is Keon Coleman.
Coleman is just as long as Adonai Mitchell but he's 20 lbs. heavier, at least at his listed weight at Florida State, so he'll come with higher marks in terms of physical stature. Coleman was also a transfer from Michigan State to FSU where he had 50 catches for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns after putting up 50 catches for 798 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Spartans.
Coleman would give the Chiefs another receiver to consider as a primary X, and he would certainly look the part more. However, he lacks the speed of Mitchell and would fail to add a dynamism that other targets would. That said, he's a high-floor receiver for a team that could use some proven products and his blocking and physical play could earn him quicker playing time and trust from coaches.
