It's time for Brett Veach and the Kansas City Chiefs' front office to go to work.
Not that Chiefs executives haven't already been steadily working on their offseason game plan for the last several weeks and months and even years on end. But the application of that plan—and the requisite adjustments they will be forced to make—is ready to unfold in real time over the next few months and a major component of that can be found in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Mock draft season is now firmly underway for a Chiefs team that held out until the end for a second consecutive Super Bowl title. Is a third one on the way? That's dependent in large part on the work done by Veach and company in rebuilding a roster for another rigorous run. (Say that three times fast.)
