Let's look at the list of most impressive prospects who are left waiting to hear their names called in the 2024 NFL Draft after three rounds.

Three full rounds are in the books so far in the 2024 NFL Draft, which means exactly 100 college players have heard their names announced from the main podium in Detroit—fulfilling lifelong dreams for all of these young men.ss sdafa

For those who've gone unselected, however, it's likely been a very emotional two days as the 2024 draft has slowly unfolded. After years of playing and months of prep, a lot of prospects who were promised a certain standing in the draft or given reasons to believe they'd already be taken are trying to figure out what went wrong.

Hopefully some of those players hurt most are able to hear their names called sooner than later on Day 3. With four full rounds ahead, there are loads of players who have yet to be picked, so hopes should remain high for most players who had real expectations for being drafted.

So who is likely to go early on Day 3? A good place to look is Mel Kiper Jr's big board since the ESPN analyst has been in his role as a draft expert for decades. Just who has fallen for the Chiefs to potentially grab in the fourth round or later?

1. T.J. Tampa, DB, Iowa State

There are a lot of folks scratching their heads wondering how the prototypical size and athleticism of T.J. Tampa failed to find a home in the first 100 picks of the draft. There are technique concerns here that need to be fixed, but he'd be an ideal project for the Chiefs with an impressive ceiling at the NFL level.

2. Mohamed Kamara, LB, Colorado State

The 6'1, 250 lb. linebacker was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year last season and had outstanding production for the Buffaloes—finishing with 30.5 career sacks. Unfortunately, there are real concerns about length and fit and teams are going to have to have a vision for using him ahead of his selection.

3. Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State

Big physical safety looks at home in the box or sitting back in coverage and his versatility should be a plus for the team that drafts him. Earned some comps to Harrison Smith.

4. Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas

One of the highest-rated tight ends in the draft class has been watching others with less buzz get taken so far in the NFL Draft. If we're looking for reasons, a frustrating RAS score is hanging over his head, but some team will claim him soon and fall in love with those hands.

5. Tez Walker, WR, North Carolina

The former Kent State transfer finished with 41 catches for 699 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Tar Heels last season. He offers a true vertical deep threat for the third day of the draft.

Other names to watch for:

  • Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State
  • Javon Baker, WR, UCF
  • Cade Stover, TE, Ohio State
  • Mason McCormick, OG, South Dakota State
