1. Deneric Prince, RB, Tulsa

According to Twitter, Deneric Prince is all but a lock to make the 53-man roster. The official Chiefs Twitter account themselves are not muting the hype either. Here is a post from the Chiefs' official account of Prince getting run with the ones.

Veteran Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon also chimed in on the undrafted running back. He did not hold back his praises.

There is not a whole lot of difference between an undrafted player and a seventh-round pick. That is especially true of Pacheco and Prince. At the NFL Combine, they both weighed exactly 216 pounds, Pacheco ran a 4.37 second time in the 40-yard dash while Prince ran it at a 4.41 rate.

The existence of McKinnon might have kept us from seeing what Pacheco is capable of in the passing game, but Andy Reid praised Prince’s pass-catching ability after making a big play down the field at mini-camp. Adding value like that is always a plus.

Dave Toub had high regard for his initial impression of Prince as well. As many Chiefs fans know, that is the golden ticket to making the roster when you are fighting for a spot at the bottom of the 53-man active roster.

The Chiefs carried four running backs last year, and that was even when they carried a fullback full time. Prince seems ripe for the taking of that fourth spot if not flat-out beating out Clyde Edwards-Helaire for the third spot.
