2. Isaiah Moore, LB, North Carolina State

Isaiah Moore’s college stats will wow you. In 55 games played the three-time team captain tallied 341 tackles, 43.5 for a loss, and 11.5 sacks as a middle linebacker. He’s a player in the Nick Bolton mold, in terms of being more of a down-hill run-stuffer and solid blitzer, rather than being great in coverage.

His chances grow immensely if he can prove his worth to Toub, but the addition of newly signed linebacker Drue Tranquill actually might help Moore. With Tranquill being so dominant in coverage, Moore can instead focus on beating out the incumbent fifth linebacker, Jack Cochrane.

Moore can more or less replace the loss of Darius Harris as a nose-for-the-ball and special teams type of player. Harris played 25 percent of the defensive snaps and 39 percent of the special teams' snaps, so that is no small task. Moore fits that bill much better than Cochrane if the Chiefs and Spags continue to move in that direction.
