AFC Divisional Round: vs #7 New York Jets

The NFL is well aware of Andy Reid's prowess after bye weeks. However, it's important to recognize that the Chiefs' historical post-bye success doesn't necessarily translate to every game being a cakewalk. Given the abundance of talent in the AFC's quarterback landscape, easy divisional-round games for the Chiefs in the foreseeable future are unlikely.

In this instance, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets make their way to Kansas City after ousting the Cleveland Browns in the wild-card round. Reflecting on the Patrick Mahomes era, save for 2018, each divisional round game has been a whirlwind of emotions for the Chiefs. Think massive comebacks (2019), nail-biting endings (2022), and even Mahomes' injuries (2020 and 2022). Arrowhead has hosted thrilling divisional-round matchups that never fail to entertain.

This game will have fireworks, but of course, the Chiefs will come out on top again.

Result: Chiefs WIN 34-27 and advance to the AFC Championship Game.

AFC Championship Game: vs #5 Cincinnati Bengals

In a continuation of tradition, the Cincinnati Bengals are set to embark on their third consecutive journey to Kansas City for the Annual Arrowhead Invitational.

Should this rematch come to fruition, brace yourself for another thrilling nail-biter. Joe Burrow has undoubtedly showcased himself as a worthy rival to Patrick Mahomes, while Lou Anarumo has firmly established himself among the NFL's premier defensive coordinators. Last season's Achilles heel for the Bengals was an underperforming offensive line, a concern they're addressing with the addition of former Chief Orlando Brown Jr. Meanwhile, on the Chiefs' side, they anticipate a fully healthy Patrick Mahomes.

Ultimately, this game is poised to shave a few years off the life spans of Chiefs fans, inducing palpitations aplenty. Yet, the silver lining remains – the Chiefs will prevail, securing their second consecutive Lamar Hunt Trophy.

Result: Chiefs WIN 33-30 and advance to Super Bowl LVIII.

Super Bowl: vs San Francisco 49ers

Returning to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five seasons, the Chiefs find themselves in a long-awaited rematch against the 49ers. However, this time, the quarterback role is taken up by none other than 2022 Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy.

While San Francisco is poised to uphold its stature as possessing one of the league's most formidable defenses, the Chiefs are expected to showcase their elite offense. The 49ers' relentless pass rush will be met head-on by the stellar Kansas City offensive line. In a battle of the minds, offensive virtuoso Kyle Shanahan will engage in a strategic showdown with three-time Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Will the San Francisco 49ers finally get over the hump and win their sixth Lombardi Trophy? No, of course the Chiefs will win it again and Patrick Mahomes wins his third ring in his quest to surpass Tom Brady.

Result: Chiefs WIN 31-20 and win their second consecutive Super Bowl title.
