Week 16: vs Las Vegas Raiders (12:00, CBS/Nickelodeon)

Once more, I won't linger too long on the topic of the Raiders. Their situation should ideally find them in a state of decline, essentially out of contention, with a possible focus on securing the coveted #1 overall draft pick. On the flip side, the Chiefs ought to be directing their attention towards clinching the AFC's #1 seed.

Though there's a slight apprehension that the Chiefs might inadvertently cast their gaze ahead to the Week 17 matchup against the Bengals, I hold the belief that this won't significantly impact the outcome.

Kansas City wins and it won't be close.

Result: Chiefs WIN 41-20 and climb to 12-3.

Week 17: vs Cincinnati Bengals (3:25, CBS)

Anticipated as one of the marquee matchups of the regular season, this clash between Cincinnati and Kansas City promises to deliver exciting football. In the last two seasons, the two teams have crossed paths four times, with each of those contests being determined by a mere three points. While the Bengals may hold a 3-1 record in these matchups, it's crucial to underscore that these teams are both 1-1 in the postseason.

Barring unforeseen developments, I hold the firm belief that this upcoming game will echo the closely contested nature of its predecessors. With Joe Burrow asserting his place as the second-best quarterback in the league and the Bengals maintaining solid defensive coaching, their competitiveness remains steadfast.

In a captivating narrative, Patrick Mahomes endeavors to narrow the head-to-head gap against Burrow, potentially bringing it to 2-3 against him. Furthermore, it's intriguing to note that a possible Part 6 could unfold about a month later, adding an extra layer of excitement to their ongoing saga.

Result: Chiefs WIN 30-27 and fly to 13-3.

Week 18: at Los Angeles Chargers (TBD)

Predicting the outcome of this game poses a certain challenge. Part of the difficulty arises from it being very far away, but there's also the question of whether the Chiefs will need to play their starters. The scenario is twofold: the team could potentially have secured the number one seed, enabling them to rest key players in Week 18. Alternatively, they might find themselves in a more precarious position, requiring a victory in Week 18 to dispel any lingering uncertainties.

If the Chiefs have to win this game, they will. It's simple as that.

Result: Chiefs WIN 36-33 and finish 14-3.
