The Kansas City Chiefs took to the road in Week 8 to complete their annual circuit with the Denver Broncos as part of their AFC West rivalry and they're currently behind in the second quarter. To make matters worse, safety Justin Reid was forced to leave after coming up injured trying to defend a big catch.

Russell Wilson and the Broncos offense took over around midfield after a fumble by Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Wilson immediately challenged the Chiefs down the field and Jerry Jeudy came up with an impressive reception to put the Broncos at the 11-yard line on a 39-yard gain.

Unfortunately, Reid was clearly hurt on the play although he was able to walk off of the field on his own power.

While Reid is being attended to by trainers, he's been replaced by Mike Edwards in the game. Reid later returned to the game and went right back to work with an important field goal block to keep the Broncos from extending their lead in the third quarter.

So far this season, Reid has started all seven games for the Chiefs. He has 33 total tackles on the season to go with 1 interception and 1 sack so far in 2023.
