The Chiefs and Bills are both sitting some interesting players on inactive lists during the Divisional Round.

At this stage of the NFL schedule, every single franchise still left standing is hurting to varying degrees. Almost every player is nursing some sort of injury (even minor ones), and the rigors of such sustained physical demands have every player ready for some rest, even as they're also motivated to reach the pinnacle of a Super Bowl appearance. That's certainly true when looking at the inactive lists for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs are visiting Orchard Park on Sunday evening to face the Bills in a Divisional Round showdown that's the buzz of the entire weekend. This game has everything viewers could want from a stellar quarterback battle in Josh Allen versus Patrick Mahomes to a burgeoning rivalry to Buffalo's underdog status as they try to topple a Chiefs team that's dominated the conference for the last half-decade.

While QB play will be important in this game, there are plenty of other storylines at work and those will be affected by the inactives lists provided by each team shortly before kickoff at Highmark Stadium.

For the Chiefs, even before inactives are released before the Divisional Round, the list of players sitting out is already quite interesting. From left tackle Wanya Morris, who remains in concussion protocol, to defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi, who suffered a triceps injury against the Dolphins last week, the Chiefs are down players all over the roster. The Chiefs will also be without wide receivers Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore, at the very least.

For the Bills, wide receiver Gabe Davis has already been ruled out, which dampens the offensive firepower a bit, and the defense will be without several players including safety Taylor Rapp and corner Christian Benford.

Here's the list of inactive players for the Chiefs

  • Wanya Morris, OT
  • Kadarius Toney, WR
  • Derrick Nnadi, DL
  • Ekow Boye-Doe, CB
  • BJ Thompson, DL
  • Neil Farrell, DL
  • Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DL
