Kansas City Chiefs complete training camp schedule

For those who've been struggling through the long NFL offseason, it can feel like a miserable distance between the final curtain call of the Super Bowl from one year to the opening Hall of Fame game exhibition to the next. The frenzy of free agency helps, as does the annual NFL Draft, but if you're wanting to watch meaningful football played, it can feel like a lifetime between seasons.

Fortunately NFL franchises around the nation are gearing up for training camp, which means some semblance of football being played is coming soon. Whether or not you like preseason football, it does feel like progress is being made just knowing that teams are coming back together to officially prep for the regular season ahead.

For Kansas City Chiefs fans, this year is all about watching the team attempt to defend after a "run it back" campaign stumbled at the end only a couple of years ago. This time the team is younger and deeper on defense and the roster feels more balanced overall. Will that be enough? Those are questions to ask at a later time.
