The Chiefs will be back at Arrowhead for volunteer offseason workouts next month.
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the official dates for offseason workout programs. Through a press release via the NFL, we've learned that some Chiefs will be back next month—at least on a volunteer basis.
The Chiefs are set for their first day of offseason workouts in mid-April—April 15, to be exact—which will begin the first two weeks of the team's offseason training activities. That's referred to as Phase One, which includes player meetings, strength and conditioning, and continued rehabilitation for injured players like defensive end Charles Omenihu.
Phase Two of the offseason calendar takes things to the next level and runs for three weeks. That features on some on-field drills for both team units and individual players and walk through practices in which players can line up from each other but only from the same unit (offensive lined up against offensive players).
Phase Three includes more of what we see in official preseason practices, including 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills and the like.
Live contact is not permitted at any time during offseason training activities.
The Chiefs still have not revealed the dates of their rookie minicamp, but it usually falls on the very next weekend after the 2024 NFL Draft. However, that's not set in stone for the 2024 offseason.
