2nd, 5th Round Pick: Luke McCaffrey

Luke McCaffrey is a fascinating prospect, especially in the fifth round. His overall quickness and football intelligence are what make him stand out as a prospect. He also is exceptional at making contested catches over the middle of the field. Given the bloodlines here—he's Christian McCaffrey's brother—means he knows exactly how to attack defenses.

The issue with McCaffrey's game is that outside of his quickness, he doesn't possess any outlying skills. His route running is clunky, his releases need refinement, and his long speed doesn't allow him to be a legitimate deep threat.

McCaffrey in the late fifth round is as good of a prospect as you can find. As a former college quarterback, he'll bring intelligence and savviness to the wide receiver room, as well as provide competition for the WR4 spot.
