The Miami Dolphins are looking healthier this week than they have in quite some time, heading into Week 9 for their game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany. However, they might have lost an important player early in the first quarter as the crowd at the Waldstadion watched wide receiver Jaylen Waddle lay on the field in pain.
Waddle is the 1B at wide receiver for the Dolphins next to Tyreek Hill as 1A, a bright young talent capable of stretching the field and punishing defenses deep.
On the play, Waddle went down after being tackled by Chiefs rookie defensive back Chamarri Conner and seemed to hurt his leg.
Waddle is officially questionable to return with a knee injury.
Coming into the game the Dolphins have been getting guys back on both sides of the ball. Terron Armstead is back for the offensive line. Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard are both lined up together in the secondary for the first time in quite a while. Pass rusher Jaelan Phillips has also missed time recently due to injury. All are healthy today to face the Chiefs.
So far this season, Waddle has 37 catches for 480 yards and 3 touchdowns. Waddle led the NFL with an 18.1 yards/catch average last season.
We'll add more details as we get them from the Dolphins.
