Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 5 win over the Minnesota Vikings, but he’s expected to play in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Kelce has been on track towards playing in this game after he finished the team's matchup in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings.

It’s a quick turnaround for Kelce with the Chiefs playing on Thursday night, but he was listed as a limited participant at practice on Wednesday.

Kansas City has gone 4-0 with Kelce in the lineup this season, but the team did lose in Week 1 to the Detroit Lions without him.

Here’s the latest on the star tight end’s injury:

Travis Kelce injury status for Week 6 game against Denver Broncos

Kelce is listed as questionable with an ankle injury for Week 6 against Denver, but he's expected to play.

It’s possible the team will wait until closer until game time to make a decision on whether or not he will suit up.

Best Travis Kelce prop bet for Week 6 vs. Broncos

Travis Kelce OVER 65.5 receiving yards

In his NFL career, Kelce has 101 catches for 1,290 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games versus the Broncos.

This season, Denver’s defense is the worst in the NFL, allowing the most net yards per pass attempt in the league. So, it’s a perfect time for Kelce and Patrick Mahomes to have a big day.

While we could take Kelce to score in this one, I think he will have a big game yardage-wise if he’s healthy enough to play. Since Kelce is almost always favored to find the end zone, I don’t mind taking a shot on this prop at closer to even odds.

Travis Kelce injury history

Kelce has been relatively healthy in his NFL career, missing just four total games since the start of the 2014 season. He did play just one game in 2013 after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee which revealed that he had a microfracture.

The tight end also missed Week 1 this season with a knee injury.

It appears that Kelce will play in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, according to Schefter's report.
