There’s no doubt that the Kansas City Chiefs missed star tight end Travis Kelce in Week 1 of the 2023 season, as their offense struggled at times in a 21-20 loss.

Luckily, he'll be back in Week 2.

Kelce missed Week 1 with a knee injury, but Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that the tight end will be able to return for Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If Kelce goes, it should give an immediate boost to the Kansas City offense. The Chiefs are favored in Week 2 on the road in Jacksonville.

Travis Kelce injury status for Week 2 game against Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Kelce is expected to make his season debut on Sunday against Jacksonville.

Best Chiefs Travis Kelce prop bet in Week 2

Travis Kelce anytime touchdown scorer

There are a few reasons why I love this play for the star tight end.

First off, Kelce is a touchdown machine, hauling in a career-high 12 scores last season and at least nine in four of the last five seasons.

Kansas City may limit Kelce’s snaps if he’s not 100 percent, but there’s no doubt that Andy Reid would want him out there in the red zone. Normally, we’ll see Kelce’s prop to score at a much higher price, so I think we might be getting a discount in Week 2.

Patrick Mahomes needs his most reliable target out there, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he looks Kelce’s way early and often in Week 2.

Whether you want to tail or fade this prop for Kelce, DraftKings Sportsbook has an offer for bettors to win either way on Sunday.

Travis Kelce injury history

Kelce has been relatively healthy in his NFL career, missing just four total games since the start of the 2014 season. He did play just one game in 2013 after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee which revealed that he had a microfracture.

The star tight end missed Week 1 of this season with his knee injury.

When is Travis Kelce coming back?

Kelce is expected to play in Week 2 against Jacksonville after recording two limited practices to open the week.
