At this point in the Patrick Mahomes era, it feels weird if the Kansas City Chiefs ever find themselves playing at a "normal time." For years and years, the Chiefs were a near-lock to play around noon on Sundays which made setting up tailgating traditions at Arrowhead rather easy to do. These days, however, you never know when the Chiefs might be playing.

Given that the team has globally recognized athletes leading the offense in Mahomes and Travis Kelce and a roster aiming for a three-peat for the first time in NFL history, the Chiefs should expect to be all over the NFL's primetime schedule once again in 2024.

Let's look at the full rundown of the Kansas City Chief's primetime games in 2024.

In the last few years, the Chiefs have maxed out their appearances on Thursday Night Football, turned into a staple on Sunday Night Football, and have appeared twice each season on Monday Night Football. They're a sure bet to be featured several times each year as long as Mahomes is under center and Andy Reid is on the sidelines.

That's certainly true for the 2024 NFL season, too. Let's take a look at the Chiefs' primetime showings as scheduled for this coming year.

Week 1 - Ravens vs. Chiefs - Thursday, Sept. 5

The Chiefs get a chance to host the season-opening contest for the second year in a row and this time they're hoping it doesn't end with a shocking loss to start the year (e.g. Detroit in Week 1). But the order is about as tall as they get with last year's No. 1 seeded Baltimore Ravens serving as the visiting opponents.

Week 3 - Chiefs vs Falcons - Sunday, Sept. 22

It's somewhat odd that three of the Chiefs' games in primetime are their NFC South matchups but someone loves these contests in the NFL's central offices. As for the on-field product, the Falcons have the offensive fireworks with Kirk Cousins and a load of young toys available to him. However is there anything on defense? We'll see.

Week 5 - Saints vs Chiefs - Monday, Oct. 7

Derek Carr was never a real threat when he was in Vegas and no one should be afraid of him when wearing a different uniform. The Saints are forever stuck in some weird mediocrity. We suppose the good news is that they never completely bottom out, but they're also ripe to get embarrassed in primetime.

Week 9 - Bucs vs. Chiefs - Monday, Nov. 9

This matchup could be an interesting one since the Bucs have found a way to stay competitive even after Tom Brady's retirement with a well-coached team that knows how to utilize its talent base. The ceiling here isn't co

Week 14 - Chargers vs. Chiefs - Sunday, Dec. 8

Justin Herbert is always a tough out and Jim Harbaugh brings a new level of respectability to the sidelines in L.A. How quickly can he elevate the team's performance? We'll get a good look late in the year in primetime.
