Four loud statements made by Kansas City Chiefs on an international stage

Balance is beautiful
Going back up against Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins was a reminder of what might have been (and what once was). It's also a reminder that balance is beautiful.
Look, there's no denying that the years with Hill in Kansas City were very exciting. It was the start of this present golden era and the trio of Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill will be remembered as one of the league's truly historic offensive groupings ever. The maturation of the Cheetah was one of the most incredible things to watch in the last several years as Hill went from returner and gadget player to well-rounded top-tier receiver who can run strong routes, go up and make the contested catch, as well as burn a defense over the top.
All that said, the Chiefs traded Hill to the Dolphins 18 months ago and picked up five draft picks in response. The cadre of picks allowed K.C. to completely restock the defensive pond and gave them the sort of youth and depth that most teams never have. Suddenly the secondary has starting-caliber players on the bench and the defensive line can operate like hockey lines.
The Chiefs certainly miss Hill on offense and will be searching for anyone to provide even a fraction of what he did next offseason, to be sure. However, these Chiefs are so much more balanced than ever and the results speak for themselves this year.
