There's a risk that the NFL's better teams, such as the Kansas City Chiefs, have to run at the end of every August, more specifically when active rosters are due. As teams pare down from 90 players to 53 to begin the regular season at the end of training camp and the NFL's preseason schedule, hundreds upon hundreds of players will hit the waiver wire. For the more talented rosters, it means other teams get to feast on their leftovers in the hopes of bolstering their own teams.

The NFL has some good measures like this in place to ensure parity, but for teams with an eagle eye for talent, it can be unfair to have to lose the hidden gems stored on a roster. That's why it makes sense for teams like the Chiefs to attempt to make a trade or two in order to at least get something in return for a player who is unlikely to slip through waivers and make it back onto K.C.'s practice squad.

Which players could find themselves dealt to another team? The situation has to be right. They have to hold real value for other teams, and the Chiefs have to have real depth. In other instances, the Chiefs would need some competitors to emerge this summer. Here are four names who could be some trade surprises at the end of the preseason.
