5. Don't be stupid

Last but not least, if the Chiefs are going to win this game, they can't be stupid.

The only way the Broncos have a chance to be competitive in this game is if the Chiefs allow them to be. Patrick Mahomes cannot throw multiple dumb interceptions, Andy Reid can't run jet sweeps on third and fourth and short, and the defense cannot commit unnecessary penalties that walk Denver's offense right down the field for points.

This is not a game where the Chiefs should take unnecessary risks. If they face fourth and short around midfield, but not within Harrison Butker's range, sure go for it. But other than that, there's little reason to be hyper-aggressive in this game. Don't go for it on 4th down if in field goal range and don't run a fake punt. Penalties, of course, also need to be limited. Although Denver is better on offense compared to 2022, they're still not a force to be reckoned with.

The Chiefs should force the Broncos to straight up out play them and not let them back in the game due to completely preventable mistakes, like they did last year.
