3. Mike Danna, defensive lineman

Fourth-year defensive lineman Mike Danna is taking on the Chris Jones role, at least as a pass rusher. He was one of the starting edge rushers but kicked inside on obvious passing downs, into the three-tech that Chris Jones usually occupies.

The Chiefs had decent pressure all night on Jared Goff, but it was Mike Danna who ended a drive with a third-down sack late in the second quarter. That stop did lead to a Chiefs touchdown as they took a 14-7 lead with 34 seconds to go in the half.

That is the type of thing the Chiefs are missing in Jones’ absence and with no contract saga end in sight, Kansas City will need more out of Danna in that category. The former Michigan product has always outplayed his draft status, but the Chiefs need him now more than ever.
