The Chiefs aren't completely healthy, but the first injury report of the year is about as positive as things can be with what we know.

There are nine names on the first injury report of the regular season for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, that's actually not the worst thing. In fact, the report itself is about as positive as things can look through a realistic lens as the team prepares to host the Baltimore Ravens in the season-opener.

The Chiefs host the Ravens on Thursday evening in primetime in a Week 1 matchup that will have televisions tuned in from around the globe. And while fans of the Chiefs will have to wait to see the debut of Marquise "Hollywood" Brown with the team, the good news is that everyone else should be healthy and ready to go.

Brown came into Week 1 already designated as "out" by Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, so his status as the only player to sit out of practice leading up to the game was well-established. Brown has been dealing with a sternoclavicular injury suffered near the start of the preseason.

The idea of everyone being available for the Chiefs might sound at odds with the total of players on the injury report, but such reports don't necessarily indicate severity of an issue—just that treatment was sought by that player for that specific issue. Thus, the Chiefs will have the likes of starting left guard Joe Thuney and cornerback Nazeeh Johnson at their disposal even with their injury designations.

As for the Baltimore Ravens, they appear to be in even better shape than the Chiefs, at least when it comes to their overall health. The Ravens have only two players on their initial injury report.

Rookie linebacker Adisa Isaac was the Ravens' third-round choice out of Penn State (where was second-team All-Big Ten last season). Unfortunately, he's been dealing with a hamstring injury among other health concerns that's kept him out for most of his time in the NFL thus far. Running back Rasheen Ali is the other player listed on the Ravens injury report, but he was able to practice in full.
