Early footage of Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy at Chiefs camp is nightmare fuel for the AFC
With the Kansas City Chiefs' first preseason game not taking place until August 10th, fans have to get excited for the season somehow. Training camp fills that void and it's been hard not to notice the on-the-field connection already forming between Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy.
The Chiefs spent their first-round pick on Worthy in this year's draft after the wide receiver position was a major sore spot for them in the 2023 season. They also added Hollywood Brown to ensure that Mahomes would have reliable weapons to throw to this year.
Well, Mahomes is already looking like he's enjoying having Worthy around. The two have been turning heads in training camp and Brad Henson made sure that fans got to see a preview of what's to come this season between the two.
Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy already displaying dazzling connection
Last season was rough for the Chiefs wide receivers so Brett Veach made sure to add players at the position who wouldn't give Mahomes and the fans headaches. Worthy and Brown stepping in will give Mahomes something he didn't have a season ago, which is two reliable wideouts to throw to.
The scary thing for the rest of the league is that if Mahomes and the Chiefs were able to win the Super Bowl when their wide receivers were terrible, what are they going to be able to do with the likes of Worthy and Brown sprinting down the field?
This is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
