Players: Jaylen Watson, Joshua Williams, Trent McDuffie, Nic Jones, Nazeeh Johnson, Kamal Hadden, Bryan Cook, Justin Reid, Chamarri Conner, Jaden Hicks

Let's start at safety because these Chiefs have never been this loaded at the position—something we actually just said a year ago, too.

There were years in this current run of Chiefs success when the likes of Dan Sorensen were eating up hundreds of reps as the team's third safety. These days, the Chiefs have so many young players vying for playing time who truly deserve it. Reid and Cook are the starters, but Hicks and Conner could easily be in the same roles without the team missing a beat.

As for corner, the loss of L'Jarius Sneed to the Titans is a big one and all eyes will be on Williams this preseason to see if he can grow into a full-time starter on the boundary. If not, the Chiefs can turn to a veteran or challenge McDuffie to stay there opposite Watson and let someone else take over inside.

Johnson is back from a season-ending injury suffered last preseason and we like his chances. Ekow Boye-Doe is the sort of talent who could knock someone down this list. We've got Hadden and Jones in the final spots, but those could be taken
