The Kansas City Chiefs were already having problems getting the job done on the offensive side of the ball in recent weeks, but that might be even more difficult in Week 12 given the losses of several contributors coming into Sunday afternoon.
The Chiefs are scheduled to face the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in the first of two games against their AFC West rivals this year. The Chiefs are in control of the division right now with a full two-game lead over any other team with a 7-3 record. For the Raiders, however, they know that two games against the division leaders could change a lot in the second half of the season.
The Chiefs are down multiple contributors on the offensive side coming into Week 12.
The Chiefs are coming in with a lot of offensive questions given the second-half meltdowns on that side of the ball for the last three weeks. That won't get easier with the recent news that wide receiver Mecole Hardman was placed on injured reserve with a thumb injury this week. In addition, both wide receiver Kadarius Toney and running back Jerick McKinnon are also sitting this game out with hip and groin injuries, respectively.
That means the Chiefs will be even more limited in their offensive options when they take the field to play the Raiders.
On the Raiders side, the Chiefs will see pass rusher Maxx Crosby after all. He's listed as "doubtful" coming into the game, but he'll give it a go even if it's only to extend his ironman streak of consecutive games played since entering the league—he's yet to miss one.
