The Kansas City Chiefs are coming into East Rutherford, New Jersey in Week 4 with a long, long list of slightly injured players—at least in terms of those who were somewhat affected by ailments this week and listed on the injury report from practice. Fortunately only two players were ruled out for the team's primetime game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday Night Football.

The Chiefs came into Week 4 having already ruled out linebacker Nick Bolton and cornerback Jaylen Watson after both missed practice earlier this week.

For Bolton, this will be the second consecutive game missed due to an ankle injury that kept him from any ounce of practice this week as well. The Chiefs went without him against the Chicago Bears but the defense didn't miss a beat with Drue Tranquill able to step up into Bolton's primary role as leader and communicator.

If you're wanting to hear some good news on Bolton, despite missing two games, the Chiefs would have placed the talented linebacker on the injured list if they expected him to miss 4 games or more, so that tells you that the internal timeline at Arrowhead with trainers is that Bolton could be a candidate to return next week against the Minnesota Vikings or shortly thereafter.

Let's check out the lists of inactive players heading into Sunday NIght Football.

As for Watson, he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday only to sit out Thursday and Friday and be declared out with a shoulder issue. Without Watson, the Chiefs will have rookie corner Nic Jones, their seventh round pick out of Ball State, on hand who could see his first action at the pro level. Jones showed off some nice production in training camp for the Chiefs.

As for the rest of the injured list, the Chiefs had a total of 14 players dealing with some sort of concern. Noah Gray missed two days of practice with an illness but he's in. Defensive tackle Chris Jones and wide receiver Kadarius Toney were also limited in practice this week with groin and toe injuries, respectively. Left tackle Donovan Smith had a rib injury that was a concern at practice on Thursday.

As SNF comes into view, we'll take a look at the lists of inactive players for Week 4 for both the Jets and Chiefs.
