Chiefs vs Eagles inactives: Which players will sit Super Bowl rematch?
By Matt Conner
The game of the year is finally here. The Kansas City Chiefs are back from the bye, and they're settled in at home waiting for the Philadelphia Eagles to arrive.
In case you've been living under that proverbial rock, the Chiefs and Eagles were the two teams that earned the ability to play each other in last season's championship game—Super Bowl LVII—and the results were thrilling in a close 38-35 victory for Kansas City.
Check out the inactive lists for both the Chiefs and Eagles for Monday Night Football here.
Since then, the Eagles have only gone on to win at an even greater clip in 2023 as the current No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Chiefs are keeping pace at 7-2 as the top seed in the AFC with a full game lead on everyone else. In fact, this might be a Super Bowl preview for this season as well.
The star power in this competition is quite incredible—from Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts at quarterback to Travis Kelce and A.J. Brown at wide receiver and so on. Can the Chiefs' elite defense slow down the NFC's powerhouse? Can the Eagles secondary right the ship against a Chiefs offense that's sputtered a bit in 2023?
All of those questions can only be answered after the lists of inactive players are released for each team, knowing who will play and who will ultimately be sitting on the sidelines due to injury or some other reason.
