If we're ready for inactive lists, that means we're only a couple of hours away from one of the season's most highly-anticipated games on the entire 2023 NFL regular season schedule: an international showdown between the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Dolphins and Chiefs are in Frankfurt, Germany these days awaiting the chance to face the other contender—the single most enticing matchup ever exported by the National Football League into an international territory. Both the Chiefs and Dolphins are 6-2 and the winner of this match will hold the edge over the other team in case of a tie-breaker—a big deal when everyone is racing for a single bye week for the No. 1 overall seed.

For the Chiefs, the schedule gets tougher from here on out with games to come against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and more alternating between easier contests. For the Dolphins, the schedule is incredibly easy until a brutal three-game stretch to close the season featuring the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills.

As for injuries, both teams are dealing with some contributors being out. Last week, Miami had 9 players listed as questionable coming into their game against the New England Patriots, which gives you an idea of how banged up a roster can get, even as many of those same guys are still playing through their issues.

Here is the Chiefs' list of inactive players for Week 9:

  • RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
  • G/C Mike Caliendo
  • DE BJ Thompson
  • DE Malik Herring
  • DT Neil Farrell

Here is the Dolphins' list of inactive players for Week 9:

  • QB Skylar Thompson
  • CB Kelvin Joseph
