The NFL preseason comes to an end this weekend, but the Kansas City Chiefs will be one of the first teams to wrap up their preseason slate. They host the Chicago Bears on Thursday night for the third and final preseason game. Andy Reid has already confirmed that we won't see the starters play on Thursday and the Bears also won't be playing their starters, so prepare to watch backups and beyond take the field.

This means that we won't be seeing any behind-the-back pass attempts by Patrick Mahomes or any sensational catches from Travis Kelce or Xavier Worthy. Instead, Carson Wentz will be taking center stage while the two quarterbacks behind him (Chris Oladokun and Ian Book) will hope to get enough playing time to cement themselves as the third-string option.

While preseason games aren't as fun because the end result doesn't matter, there are still plenty of Chiefs fans who enjoy going and are planning to watch the backups do their thing on the gridiron.

For those who are interested in attending the game and enjoying some preseason football, what type of weather should you expect?

Chiefs vs Bears weather report

It should be a nice night for a football game, especially for August. Normally this time of year it's hot and humid outside but fans heading out to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the preseason finale can expect nicer temperatures.

According to NFL Weather, it'll feel like 79 degrees at kickoff and by the end of the game, it'll feel like 73 degrees outside. There will be wind gusts up to 15 MPH throughout the game and it'll be partly cloudy throughout as well.

The Weather Channel's forecast for the game is 77 degrees at kickoff, then dropping to 74 degrees at 8 p.m. and getting as low as 72 degrees by 10 p.m. In other words, the forecast looks good for Chiefs Kingdom on Thursday night.

This isn't quite perfect football weather (that comes in October and early November) but for mid-to-late August, it's pretty dang close.
