Stock Down: Justyn Ross

Justyn Ross was one of two Chiefs on offense to have a rough game. One of his only targets came on an end zone fade where he and Mahomes were not on the same page. Mahomes threw it to the back pylon, and Ross appeared to hold up on the route and drew on offensive pass interference for his trouble.

Ross ended up with no catches on the day, and it is getting worrisome about whether he is cut out for this squad. Chiefs Kingdom has seen sparks of his talent—see this ridiculous catch against the Minnesota Vikings—but it has not been enough to see him get more consistent snaps with the offense.

Since Justin Watson is on the injured list, I hoped to see more of Ross in the offense, but that did not happen in this game. Adding Hardman into this mix cannot be good for Ross' future prospects either, as Ross finds himself moving further down the depth chart. The easier part of the Chiefs' regular season schedule comes to a close next week at the Denver Broncos, so it is about to be put-up-or-shut-up time for Ross if he is going to get any significant playing time down the stretch.
