The 2024 NFL Draft is in the books and the Kansas City Chiefs added seven new players to their roster. We know who the players are and now we know what jersey numbers they'll be rocking in their first year in the league.

Before we get into that, let's recap what the team did in the draft as a refresher. Xavier Worthy was the Chiefs' first-round pick and will give the offense tremendous speed. They nabbed Kingsley Suamataia in the second round to help bolster the offensive line.

On the third and final day of the draft, Kansas City selected Jared Wiley, Jaden Hicks, Hunter Nourzad, Kamal Hadden, and C.J. Hanson.

What jersey numbers will the Chiefs rookies wear in 2024?

The Chiefs posted the jersey numbers on social media on the Monday following the draft.

  • Worthy will rock No. 1, the same number that he donned during his final season at Texas (he wore No. 8 before then). The last Chief to wear the No. 1 jersey was Jerick McKinnon.
  • Suamataia will be wearing No. 76, which he wore during his 2021 season at Oregon. He wore 78 while at BYU. Prince Tega Wanogho wore 76 last year.
  • Wiley chose to wear No. 12 after wearing 18 at Texas and 19 at TCU. Mecole Hardman wore No. 12 when he returned to Kansas City after the trade deadline last year.
  • Hicks will be rocking No. 21, which wasn't worn by anyone during the 2023 season.
  • Nourzad went with No. 60, which no one wore in 2023.
  • Hadden is going with No. 17, worn by Richie James in 2023 and Hardman for four years before that.
  • Hanson picked 61 for his jersey number and nobody donned that number for the Chiefs in 2023.
