2023 was a crazy time for the Kansas City Chiefs. They kicked off the year by winning their second Super Bowl title in four years and the regular-season got even crazier when Travis Kelce started hanging out with and then eventually dating pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Swift attended nearly all of the Chiefs games during the 2023 season, including Super Bowl LVIII where KC prevailed over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime. Swifties joined Chiefs Kingdom in masses and while the talk has obviously died down in the offseason, Swift was watching the Chiefs' ring ceremony from Liverpool where she was on tour.

She was commenting on the livestream, with one of the most notable comments being about how the Chiefs re-signed Mecole Hardman, who had the game-winning touchdown in overtime. Hardman recently re-signed with KC after not finding a new home elsewhere in free agency.

When discussing Hardman's return to KC, Swift said, "AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE", which got everyone excited. When speaking at an event in Ohio, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt discussed Swift joining the Kingdom and loved her usage of the word "We" when speaking about the Chiefs.

"She is in Liverpool this week and we had our ring ceremony a couple nights ago, which she stayed up for. It was about 4 AM in Liverpool and she sent a social media communication that used the word "we" so she is definitely a part of the Chiefs Kingdom."

It's been pretty cool to see the entire Chiefs front office embrace the Swift stuff and why wouldn't they? It's helped them sell more merchandise and become a worldwide brand. Swift dating Kelce introduced a whole new group of people to the NFL and to the Chiefs that normally wouldn't have cared at all.

That's pretty dang cool. Hopefully, T-Swift sticks around in the Kingdom for a long time.
