The Kansas City Chiefs now officially have brought every rookie under contract from their draft class.

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially signed wide receiver Xavier Worthy to a four-year contract worth up to nearly $13.8 million on Wednesday, per NFL reporter Field Yates. It's a move that brings the team's entire rookie class under contract.

Worthy was the Chiefs' first selection in the 2024 NFL Draft at No. 28 overall, having moved up from No. 32 in a deal with the Buffalo Bills. The New England Patriots were reportedly also in "high-speed pursuit" of Worthy but the Chiefs were able to get a deal done in time to grab him.

Worthy was a downfield receiver out of the University of Texas whose mark was made by his elite speed. He broke the NFL Combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash ever timed (at 4.21 seconds), breaking the mark set by wide receiver John Ross back in 2017.

The Chiefs added Worthy as another significant investment in the receiving corps along with prized free agent Marquise Brown after suffering through a season of frustration with most of the receiving room. Brown and Worthy will now team with Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce to form the core pass catching group for Patrick Mahomes in '24.

Worthy had 75 catches for 1,014 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns in 2023 for the Longhorns.
