The annual ESPY Awards are set to be held on Wednesday, June 12, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California and our favorite quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, is expected to have a big night. That's because oddsmakers have the Kansas City Chiefs star as the favorite to win in two categories.

Mahomes is the odds-on favorite to win both Best NFL Player and Best Athlete: Men's Sports on the night, giving him two big wins after once again winning the NFL's Most Valuable Player Award (oh, and another Super Bowl).

Per a press release from SportsBetting.ag, Mahomes is a heavy favorite in the former category, which makes sense given his dominance in actual NFL awards (-300). Others favored on the list include Jalen Hurts (+550), Justin Jefferson (+800), and Nick Bosa (+1000).

As for the general male athlete category, Mahomes is favored by a slimmer margin (+120) over New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (+250), Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (+400), and soccer superstar Lionel Messi (+500).

The ESPY Awards have been around since 1993, back when comedian Dennis Miller hosted the ceremonies at Madison Square Garden. This year features no official host (last year was Steph Curry) but there will be musical performances from H.E.R. and Lil Wayne plus others.

Fans can catch the 2023 ESPY Awards at 7:00 p.m. C.T. with an hour of red carpet coverage before the event beginning at 6:00 p.m—all on ESPN. ESPN's streaming app also gives fans an option to watch on their phones or computers.
