The Kansas City Chiefs are ailing at linebacker currently, so it makes a lot of sense that they would go searching for some help in the interim. They've apparently found their man with news that they've brought back linebacker Darius Harris to the team on Tuesday.

Harris has been on the practice squad for the Las Vegas Raiders this season since signing with them in early August.

The Chiefs have brought back a familiar face to help at linebacker for a while.

The Chiefs are in need of some help at linebacker due to a number of injuries that have sidelined or at least limited their starters. Nick Bolton has been lost for up to two months with a wrist injury suffered back in Week 7, a win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Willie Gay Jr. is a variable at this point after leaving the team's loss in Week 8 to the Denver Broncos with a tailbone injury.

It should also be noted that Drue Tranquill was even taken out of the game for a short spell on Sunday before returning, which made things very thin on the second of the Chiefs defense. At one point, the Chiefs were rolling with Cam Jones, Jack Cochrane, and Leo Chenal across the heart of their defense.

Harris brings four years of experience playing in Steve Spagnuolo's defenses since he signed with the Chiefs as a rookie free agent back in 2019. He beat the odds and lasted with the team through the 2022 season before his contract expired and the team moved on at the position to other young players to round out the roster.

While he hasn't played an official snap of football this season, Harris was active for the Chiefs in every single game last year and has 28 games of experience in the last four years in K.C.
