Gotta love seeing the positive updates on social media from Charles Omenihu lately.

The Kansas City Chiefs did a great job this offseason bringing back the talent and depth along a defensive front that stood among the league leaders in sacks and overall pressures once again in 2023. However, the one piece that has fans crossing their fingers is the return and recovery of pass rusher Charles Omenihu.

Omenihu was an interesting addition one year ago, a former member of the San Francisco 49ers who had impressive metrics in a rotational role. Those metrics showed that giving Omenihu more time and space to do his thing would yield greater results. Hence the reason why the Chiefs signed Omenihu to a two-year deal in free agency.

Even in a year shortened by suspension, Omenihu finally debuted for the Chiefs at midseason and was an instant hit up front on a young unit. He put up a career high of 7 sacks and 12 pressures in only 11 games (with a single start) and was a force through the team's successful postseason run as well—at leats until his injury.

These days, Omenihu is doing everything he can to return from a very unfortunate ACL tear suffered last winter but he's looking great. He's been posting his story on his own YouTube web series as well as social media posts of his workouts and progress.

In addition, Omenihu also recently dropped a fun look at his life and his recovery in his YouTube series entitled The Journey.

Together with Chris Jones' returnn, the development of George Karlaftis and Felix Anudike-Uzomah, and the steady force of Mike Danna outside, Omenihu can take his time coming back properly . However, his ability to disrupt the pocket at a high level places him in the mix as one of the most dynamic players to sit outside on the edge for the Chiefs.

When you're chasing a three-peat, Omenihu's role is going to go a long way.
