Chiefs inactives: Nick Bolton will miss third week in a row versus Vikings
By Matt Conner
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without middle linebacker Nick Bolton on Sunday when they take the field to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 of the regular season.
Bolton has been sitting out the last two weeks already with an ankle injury that has kept him out of practice for Kansas City since the team's second game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bolton had returned to practice this week for the Chiefs in a limited capacity, but was able to at least return at some level for all three days of practice sessions. He was listed as questionable coming into Sunday afternoon.
The good news is that the Chiefs have looked solid defensively even without Bolton in the middle with Drue Tranquill occupying his typical role as a leader and communicator of the group. In addition, the Chiefs will get cornerback Jaylen Watson back from a week away due to a shoulder problem. He was also limited to start the week but clearly got better.
In addition to Bolton, the Chiefs will also be down another recent contributor up front in Matt Dickerson, a defensive tackle who has earned more playing time as a solid run defender so far in the season's first quarter. Dickerson missed most of practice this week for the Chiefs with a knee injury.
Here's a list of the Chiefs inactive players for Week 5

- Mike Caliendo, OL
- Keondre Coburn, DL
