The Kansas City Chiefs will head to Orchard Park this weekend for a date with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. You've probably heard all of the storylines heading into this game, ranging from how it's Patrick Mahomes' first road playoff game to the rivalry that's developed between the Chiefs and the Bills.

What you probably didn't have on your bingo card was Andrew Whitworth, a former NFL offensive lineman, saying that Josh Allen is more dangerous than Patrick Mahomes. That's exactly what transpired on Up & Adams when Whitworth discussed the Chiefs vs. Bills match-up with host Kay Adams.

Andrew Whitworth says Josh Allen is more dangerous than Patrick Mahomes.

Whitworth said that when Allen is playing as "reckless" as he is he's a bigger threat than Mahomes. He said that we all know what Mahomes can do in the playoffs but he feels more comfortable banking on Allen in this game.

It's pretty easy to point out here how Mahomes is 12-3 in the playoffs since becoming the Chiefs' starter in 2018 while Allen is 5-4 and tends to buckle in these big games. Just last year, Allen and the Bills crumbled under the pressure when hosting the Bengals in the divisional round. While Allen balled out two years ago in the divisional round loss to the Chiefs, the rest of his team let him down in the waning seconds of that game.

Mahomes and the Chiefs know how to win these games and they've proven it time and time again. Allen has played well down the stretch this season but the playoffs are an entirely different animal and when push comes to shove, we know Mahomes is up for the task. We don't necessarily know if Allen is because he hasn't been able to get over the hump.

Betting against Mahomes at this stage of the playoffs seems like a risky move. Let's see if it pays off for Whitworth.
