It's mock draft season and this one has an interesting wrinkle—one in which the Kansas City CHiefs are hoping they aren't helping one of their most bitter rivals.

In a way, the Buffalo Bills will never live it down. Their willingness to trade down with the Chiefs back in the 2017 NFL Draft handed over the game's best player in Patrick Mahomes, and the NFL's history books have been rewritten ever since. While they have their own franchise face today, the Bills would certainly love a mulligan if given the chance.

The Chiefs don't want to help their hated rivals find their answer at QB, but the opportunity was right here to add picks.

No team wants to help another team find their answer at the game's most important position, and that's doubly true of long-time rivals. But nothing is certain, and as one of the Kansas City Chiefs' rivals in the AFC West is trying to find their own long-term answer at quarterback, in this mock draft, it was too hard for general manager Brett Veach to spurn the chance to add some more selections in the heart of the draft order.

It's time for another mock draft with the real thing less than a month away. This time around, we attempted to navigate around the draft order a bit with the way the first round fell. Some of our favorite wideouts were long gone by the time the Chiefs were scheduled to pick at No. 32 overall, so we decided to take Tom Telesco's phone call.

Let's get to it with a look at the first trade and then pick.
