Week 5 is upon us. As we consider the Chiefs-Vikings matchup in the afternoon, there are plenty of other football matchups that we should keep an eye on. With high-power offenses that could bring a shootout and high-profile matchups that could decide playoff seeding, there is a lot that we can be watching for.
Today, we discuss the best non-chiefs matchups of the week and why they are intriguing, starting across the pond with the Bills and Jaguars.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars @ Buffalo Bills (In London)
Game Time: Sunday, October 8, 8:30 AM CT
Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook: Bills (-5.5)
TV: NFL Network
Jacksonville is hoping that they have righted the ship. After thrashing the Falcons, they have reason to believe that they are hitting their stride. To this point in the season, they have not reached their full potential. Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley are a great duo, but it seems as though something is missing. With Doug Pederson's pedigree, it seems likely that the Jags are ready to give the Bills their best shot. Winning, however, will be no easy task.
Buffalo lost their opener to Zach Wilson and the Jets, but since then, they have been electric. Some might even begin to consider them the team to beat. Josh Allen has huge games and will turn around and have very questionable ones. To beat the Jaguars, he will need to be hitting on all cylinders. Look for Stefon Diggs to get a ton of targets in this one.
The bottom line: Buffalo has been downright dominant and Jacksonville is still looking for their footing. Not only does this game have the makings of a potential playoff matchup, it also has the potential to be electric. Grab your popcorn, folks. The Jaguars ground game will be the tell-all. If they are able to move the ball consistently on the ground, it seems likely that this one will go down to the wire. I expect the Jaguars to win a close one in London.
Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars: 27 Buffalo Bills: 23
