All six Kansas City Chiefs OL grades from divisional round victory
By Jacob Milham
1. LG Joe Thuney
Grade: 92.2/100
Thuney went down with a pectoral strain late in the game, but he undoubtedly had a positive impact on Sunday. Like L'Jarius Sneed, the Chiefs trusted putting Thuney in one-on-one situations, and Thuney won nearly all of those reps. His performance against defensive tackle Ed Oliver was the most impressive to me.
Oliver is an uber-athletic defender, recording 72 total pressures heading into the divisional round. Thuney and Oliver met all night one-on-one, and the Chiefs veteran got the best of Oliver. Oliver did not register a single pressure in the game and was a complete non-factor against Thuney.
Thuney's injury is a massive question ahead of the AFC Championship game, but Kansas City fans should be glad the team has Allegretti to fill in. Still. Thuney is an emergency tackle and elite guard on the Chiefs side, where Kansas City needs every edge they can get against the Ravens.
