All six Kansas City Chiefs OL grades from divisional round victory

4. LG Nick Allegretti
Grade: 88.3/100
Frankly, Joe Thuney's exit late in Sunday's game went unnoticed by many. Thuney suffered his pectoral strain on running back Isiah Pacheco's touchdown early in the fourth quarter. The broadcast cameras lingered on Pacheco's celebration, but the Kansas City sideline firmly focused on Thuney writhing in pain. Thankfully, they had Nick Allegretti to step up in relief.
The guard only played three drives, with 13 total snaps. He split that action fairly evenly, with seven run plays and six pass plays. Allegretti was more than serviceable, though in relief of Thuney, allowing no pressure and holding his own in the run game.
Allegretti was particularly impressive in the run game, showing good lateral movement and blocking a defender with just one arm for most of a play. While he did have some issues with pass-blocking, he still performed better than most NFL backups.
Although Kansas City need not be overly concerned about Allegretti playing in the AFC Championship Game if necessary, it's worth noting that Thuney, who is a better player, is still the preferred option over the 27-year-old.
