Grade: 74.4/100

Veteran Donovan Smith has had far from a stellar season with the Chiefs, but he has been solid for much of 2023. That continued Sunday against the Bills, where Smith faced a litany of Bills pass rushers. Buffalo defensive end Greg Rosseau got the best of Smith at times, especially in the game's opening half.

Smith allowed egregious pressure on the Chiefs' first pass play. That play could have set the tone for the entire game, but thankfully, quarterback Patrick Mahomes found rookie Rashee Rice for a 25-yard gain. Smith only allowed one more pressure in 27 more passing snaps with one penalty. Smith redeemed himself with solid run blocking, no matter the run scheme.

If Kansas City commits to the run, Smith is the player they want at left tackle. Smith is not a terrible tackle, but he was the worst-performing lineman on Sunday. Chiefs fans should monitor rookie Wanya Morris' status ahead of the AFC Championship Game, hoping he can replace Smith if he struggles against the vaunted Ravens defense.
