AFC West Division opening odds: Chiefs massively favored for another title

A good first step in doing that in 2024 is going to be winning the AFC West. They've been crowned division champs in eight straight seasons and are favored once again to win it in 2024. Their biggest competition is expected to be the Los Angeles Chargers, who look to re-tool with Jim Harbaugh taking over as their new head coach.

Chiefs have clear path to ninth straight AFC West title
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs set as -210 favorites to win the AFC West in 2024, which is an implied probability of 67.74%. You would have to bet $210 on the Chiefs to win the division in order to profit $100.
To be honest, I don't that price is steep enough. As long as Patrick Mahomes stays healthy, the Chiefs should have no issue winning this division last year. Kansas City boasts the best defense it has had since drafting Mahomes and now with an offseason to add some offensive weapons at wideout, the Chiefs are the team to beat not only in the AFC West, but in the NFL as a whole.
Meanwhile, the rest of the division has plenty of issues. The Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos are desperately searching for a quarterback and the Los Angeles Chargers have their salary cap tied up in aging, injury prone players. No other team in the division had a winning record in 2023.
We can all bank on yet another division title being won by the Chiefs in 2024.
