8 free agents who should top the Chiefs offseason wish list

The NFL's free agency legal tampering period begins today. Here is a list of 8 players at different positions that would be a good fit for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cornerback - Isaac Yiadom

I strongly believe that the Chiefs will trade L'Jarius Sneed. I don't expect them to make any major signings to replace him either.

The trio of Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, and Joshua Williams give them a solid top three already and Nazeeh Johnson was pushing Watson and Williams for playing time last season before he got hurt. However, it never hurts to have plenty of corners, and Isaac Yiadom might be a fairly cheap option in free agency that might be a good fit to help fill some of Sneed's snaps.

I liked Yiadom coming out of Boston College, but he struggled early in his NFL career. He's 6-foot-1 and has press man experience, but he can play in zone as well. After really struggling in Green Bay, he had his best season last year in New Orleans where he totaled 11 pass breakups and an 80.4 PFF pass coverage grade.

A 28 year old corner with some struggles on his resumé likely won't fetch a big contract in free agency. He made just $1.2 million last season in New Orleans, but a corner with good length who isn't affraid to get physical in press coverage sounds to me like a guy Spags would put to good use in his defense. Plus, if Dave Merritt can continue to build off Yiadom's success last season and get the most of him like he has pretty much every corner that KC has had in recent years, he could be a real steal and the type of underrated signing that Brett Veach is becoming known for.

Finally, let's close this list out with possibly bringing one more guy back from last season.
