5. Limit explosive running plays by Raheem Mostert

One of the most underrated aspects of the Miami Dolphins is their strong running game. They average the most rushing yards per game in the NFL with over 150 yards. They're first in yards per carry by a wide margin at 5.9.

Leading the charge for Miami's running game in this game will be Raheem Mostert.

Mostert is one of the most explosive running backs in all of football. He's second in yards per carry (with at least 50 carries) in 2023 at 5.36 and is tied with Christian McCaffrey for the most 10+ yard runs at 16, in 40 fewer attempts than CMC. He's first in designed rushing attempts for more than 15 yards at eight.

Mostert is a serious weapon out of the backfield. As much as the Chiefs need to contain Tyreek Hill. limiting Raheem Mostert is almost as important. After allowing over 140 rushing yards to Denver last week, the run defense for Kansas City has to come to play against Miami.

If they can keep Mostert from gashing them on early downs, that will help limit explosive passing plays as it will keep the Dolphins off balance, which is how their offense thrives. Turning Miami one-dimensional offensively going to be critical in this game.
