A Round 7 edge rusher is always going to be a gamble but Tupuola-Fetui has some traits that might help him find the field. A power rusher with a high motor, Tupuola-Fetui was used in coverage some at Washington but will need to be on the ball at the next level. He's athletically limited and doesn't have a great pass rush plan but he can impact a pocket.

Mike Danna was a smaller edge for Steve Spagnuolo but he found a valuable role in Kansas City. Danna is only 10 pounds heavier and an inch taller. BJ Thompson is another project pass rusher Kansas City has on the roster but his frame is too small to hold up against the run at this point. Tupuola-Fetui could play a similar role to Malik Herring as well. Chiefs need all types of bodies and roles along the defensive line.
