Round 5, Pick 173: Tip Reiman, TE, Illinois

Posting the 10th-highest TE RAS score ever is a good way to boost your draft stock. Reiman is an excellent blocker who flashes athletic traits catching the ball. At 6-4, 270 lbs., Reiman just moves differently than players of his size. His size and power make him a nice YAC option as well. He's not a diverse route runner or a vertical threat, but he can threaten defenses in short yardage.

The Chiefs began refining their 13 personnel by signing Irv Smith Jr. this week. He feels like a potential Jody Fortson replacement. Tip Reiman is the Blake Bell replacement. He can live on the field as a blocker but provide a decent 250 yards receiving and a few touchdowns to help defenses respect him as a pass catcher.
