Kris Jenkins brings a high-floor interior presence for a defensive line looking to maintain gap assignments. Jenkins is the son of two-time NFL All-Pro defensive tackle Kris Jenkins Sr. He's the next chapter in the success story which is the Michigan strength and conditioning staff. "He's the mutant of all mutants" is how head coach Jim Harbaugh describes him. Jenkins went viral for his 170-lb. Turkish get-up this off-season when he made Bruce Feldman's "Freaks List"

The college production for Jenkins doesn't scream high-level draft prospect (4.5 sacks) but he profiles as a valuable piece of modern NFL defenses. As teams shift more to coverage-heavy schemes having a true run-stuffing interior presence is crucial to schemes. With his athleticism, there could be lots more to him as a pass rusher. Jenkins will be a warrior at the NFL Combine and could have a similar ascension as Mazi Smith last year.
