5. Will there be a Super Bowl hangover?

I'll keep this one concise. The reality of the Super Bowl hangover is undeniable. Although it primarily affects the Super Bowl runner-up, numerous teams have faced challenges at the outset after playing in the Super Bowl the previous year. In 2020, the Chiefs were unaffected (following their Super Bowl LIV win), but encountered difficulties early in 2021 (following their Super Bowl LV loss).

The potential impact of a Super Bowl hangover or a sluggish season start becomes amplified due to the strategic placement of their more formidable opponents (Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Cincinnati) later in the season, coupled with the pronounced rest disadvantage in the latter half of the schedule. Consequently, the Chiefs must capitalize on their relatively "easier" early-season matchups. Failing to do so might diminish their chances of securing the #1 seed in the AFC.
