2. Protect Patrick Mahomes, especially on the edges

The last time the Chargers came to Arrowhead, their pass rush wreaked havoc on a normally very good Chiefs offensive line. That cannot be the case in this game as the Kansas City wide receivers have struggled to generate separation and quick pressure would be a good way to cripple a passing offense that has been inconsistent this season.

Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack are clearly the two best pass rushers in Los Angeles. Bosa is a four-time pro bowler, while Mack has made it seven times and had a six-sack performance in Week 4. The weakness on the Kansas City offensive line is clearly their offensive tackles. Neither Donovan Smith nor Jawaan Taylor have been excellent this season and appear to be outmatched by Mack and Bosa. That cannot be the case in this game.

So far through six weeks, it is very clear that the Chiefs have less margin for error on offense. They haven't moved the ball at the same rate as last season nor have they scored as much. Protecting Patrick Mahomes is always a priority, but the Chargers have two potential game-wreckers on their defensive line. If Kansas City isn't careful, they could very easily find themselves in another game where they struggle to move the football.
